HIV Programs

Walking alongside people and families affected by TB and HIV.

The need

TB and HIV remain serious health challenges in Papua New Guinea, and stigma still stops many people from getting tested and treated.

Mothers living with HIV need support so their babies can be born free of HIV.

What we do

Testing and treatment

TB, HIV and STI testing, counselling and treatment at our clinics, including supervised (DOTS) TB treatment.

Protecting babies from HIV

Mother Mentor and Male Champion programmes, including triple elimination testing for HIV, syphilis and hepatitis B.

Outreach and reducing stigma

Community outreach and prevention, and Kisim Save Helpim Hauslain (KSHH), helping community groups reduce HIV stigma and discrimination.
